Research. I am currently working on the online modification of neural network architectures during training. Specifically, I am interested in increasing the number and width of layers in a neural network as they become necessary. I hope that this will remove the necessity of guessing the correct parameter sizes before training, without the expense of standard Neural Network Architecture Search. My research is part of Project Whitebox, and, as such, I also hope that my methods will allow the explanation, not only of what a neuron currently does, but why it was created in the first place.

Bio. I'm a PhD Student in the Artifical Intelligence and Machine Learning Lab at the Computer Science Department of the TU Darmstadt University, Germany. Previously, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Engineering and Master of Engineering degrees from the University of Cambridge.
